Black and white with some lovely florals x

Hey guys!...Its been a while since i posted anything, I've been brainstorming about outfits and stuff i can upload. So hopefully I will start uploading a bit more often. One of the outfits I have been wanting to upload is this partial rocker chick inspired look.

Clothes:
Bracelet, Shoes and Hat- NewLook
Ring and Socks- TopShop
Bag- Primark
Leather jacket- H&M

I have seen the "oops i forgot my pants" trend a lot during the summer but didn't pay much attention to it till now. Since its cold I chose to wear thick tights which you don't have to do if you can brave the coldness, and also I've been waiting to try the socks and heels trend. Usually socks and heels I would say heck to the freaking NO, but after a post I did a while back I became a more accepting towards the idea. I feel as though this trend could either be a huge hit or miss, so I wouldn't expect a lot of people to be down with this look. Having said that...I will include examples of how this trend was shown on the Runways of Paris Fashion Week two weeks ago, as-well as examples of my favourite versions of the trend.

St Laurent and Chanel took on the challenge of matching socks and heels in completely different direction.
Saint Laurent at PFW (Go big or go home approach, I love this look but it takes confidence to pull this of without looking as though you are living during the disco era.)
Saint Laurent Socks With Pumps
Saint Laurent shoes and socks
Karl Lagerfeld  at PFW ( opted for a more demure approach to the trend, pairing slouched calf-high black or white schoolgirl socks with heels of alternating colour)

Here are some of my favourite ways to wear socks and heels:

My Fashion Icon

        Solange

Retro fashion lives and breathes in the style of Solange Knowles!
Let me just start by saying "I LOVE SOLANGE'S STYLE!". Her fashion sense is like no other, she is the epitome of a fashionista. Cause seriously, who else can don a pair of yellow neon trainers with novelty laces without looking cringey to the  max? Solange has the ability to dress in most things and still look fabulous, she can even effortlessly make 90s-kid dream-laces look very high fashion. I understand that not everyone will get her look, but there is something so special about the way she can mix 'n' match fabrics and prints in a way that is just flawless. She is constantly taking worthy fashion risks and pulls them off elegantly. Fashion is all about expressing your own individual personality,  and Solange does just that whilst revamping old trends and starting trends of her own. Its not just about the clothes either, its about the hair. I love how curly and fun her hair is, she is probably the only celebrity who could make me consider cutting my hair and letting it grow all natural. It is also due to seeing her don box braids that has made me fall in love with long box-braids.

Here are just a few reasons why I idolize Solange's style:
1. Ability to effortlessly mix prints
2. She is not afraid of colour

3. She has an artistic approach to fashion and her individual style. This allows her to wear one large print whilst still looking young and fresh, without wearing short or revealing clothing.
4. Retro elegance- my absolute favourite images of her are when she is dressed in a retro style.

5. Embraces various cultures in her style of clothing, whether it be African, European etc.

D is for Denim!

Denim on Denim
I feel like the best way to pull off denim on denim is by mixing different denims or colour shades. Rihanna and Olivia Palmero have pulled off this look multiple times, by mixing denim textures and colours. Go all the way with the mix and match, this makes the entire outfit more fun and edgy. The red  pumps give life to entire look, by offering a distraction from the denim. Here is one of my favourite denim on denim looks by Olivia Palmero. I absolutely love her style! For me personally i think she is such a style icon; always keeping it classy and high fashion.

Haul alert!

                                        HaUL
Its been a long time since my last blog, the summer holiday was so hectic (but so much fun). I enrolled in the NCS programme which is a lot of fun and great way to meet new people. However its only for 16-17 year-old. Since I enrolled in the summer programme it lasted 4 weeks, and in those weeks we traveled to Dorset for PGL (week 1) and the other week we stayed in a hotel. The remaining 2 weeks we worked in groups with other local charities spreading the word about whatever social issue we were passionate about using various art forms. If you are between 16-17 I would recommend you take part, they run the programme at numerous times throughout the year if you are unable to take part during the summer or autumn.

Now that's enough about NCS... lol ... LETS TALK ABOUT CLOTHES. Please do keep in mind some of these outfits were bought when the weather was actually hot. (*sigh* the ever changing British weather)
You will notice there are several prints in this haul, I must admit I am quite obsessed. I am not going to talk about every single item here cause that's just long, but I will make an exception for a few things. The transparent sheer loose powder is amazing, I would definitely recommend it. It goes well with all skin tones and I don't need to continuously retouch my makeup. The red printed dress is my absolute favorite since I can never find a perfectly fitting tight dress, as they usually tend to look extremely baggy. I was so happy when I got  it, real emotional times you know ='D.

Summer is in the air baby!

I must be dreaming because...The weather has just been so magical recently, the suns out, legs are out its just so PERFECT. Here Tashi is sporting this super cute casual summer outfit, you can wear it at home or even for a quick trip into town with the girls. Floral prints are great for summer, great way to have fun with fashion. When wearing floral prints it does not have to be a complete printed attire, even just printed trousers or accessories can work well.
New Look- Floral print dress, Tanned Bag, Tanned Sandals, Sunglasses
The jackect is from a DIY project Tashi did last summer

Here are some examples of how to wear straight cut floral print trousers. Personally I would go for the middle and right look, cause the mixed prints is just too ambitious for me.

Wish List

  I want it all!

Dolls Kill is officially one of my guilty pleasures. I found myself on their website after looking for a pair of shoes I was obsessing over. The style may not necessarily be to everyone's taste, but there are a lot of super cute stuff. I just had to share some images of the items I found and considering buying.

Gold and Black

 Birthday dinner with the homies!

It was by best-friend's birthday last week, so we decided to have a celebratory dinner during the weekend. This was perfect because it gave me an excuse to go shopping. If you've read my previous post you will know I treated myself to few items from TopShop. I actually ended up going back there over the weekend and bought some more stuff, which I then wore for the dinner.
1. Gold and Black sequence top £20
2. Black lace midi skirt £25
3. large ring £3.50

I really love the skirt because its not too revealing, it has a fun youthfulness to it and can still be very formal. The length of the petticoat of the skirt is appropriate and does not ride up unnecessarily, so there is no need to worry about a wardrobe malfunction. The fabric of the skirt is pleated lace with floral designs and has a glossy finish. I matched the skirt with a black and gold sequence top. The top is loose therefore is ideal to hide any bulging stomachs after a meal. If I had not been going out for a meal I may have worn the skirt with a bustier top and thrown a blazer on top. Jewellery was very simple, I wore a large gold ring, Wing ear-cuff and a small gold bracelet. I didn't stop there with the gold, so I added some Gold textured pumps from Primark.
